Warning(s): Mild dark tones (emotional manipulation, mentions of mental illness, and death)

There is only one ending.

What was supposed to be a healthy break from the hustle and bustle of city life, turned into tragedy.
Maybe if they weren't so selfish, things could've gone differently.

----

I made this game in about a day. Gameplay should only be a few minutes.

There are parts that are text-heavy, so if you don't like to read a lot, I'm sorry.

((Also, this is my first time using the HTML/browser feature. I hope there aren't too many issues! Apologies;; ))

----

✨TIPS: Check the countertop, sink, and stove. Also, please check the locked door upstairs after you have something to drink.

I love love LOVE the game. it's quite unique :D

oh! Thank you sm for playing, and thank you for your kind words! :> I quite miss making very short entries like this, so I'm glad some people can enjoy them a bit, too!

Nice game.

Thank you so much for playing! I purposely wanted things to be left ambiguous to what happened to the characters during their stay in the countryside- I hope it wasn't too frustrating of an experience. I really liked your narration as well! :> thanks again!

I want to play the game but the game won't open for me.

I'm sorry to hear that- are you playing the browser version or the downloadable version? Are you met with a specific error message?

I believe I ran into a similar issue!  after the first text sequence, it says "Loading Error... Failed to Load: img/characters/!Doors.png". This is on the browser version, I'll be sure to try it out with a downloadable version when I get to chance on a windows computer :,)!

I'm so sorry- it appears the browser version just won't recognize the included files. I hope you'll try the downloadable file in the meantime;; (I think these types of games can be played using winebottler, but I'm not sure;; )

Y'know, for a project made in about a day, you really knocked it out of the park with this one! You really set a good atmosphere, and the stinger isn't hamfisted, It has genuine impact! It's short, but sweet. (Well, pungent depending on how you look at it.) I think you did a really great job.

(also, thank you for making it browser compatible!)

Sorry for the late response- but thank you so much for playing, and thank you for the kind words! I would like to challenge myself to make another short game like this with a limited schedule again- it was quite fun!

I tend to have a preference for dark or unfortunate circumstances when it comes to the types of games I make. I like to think I made some of the conversation a bit realistic, given the situation. Either way, thank you again so much (:
